Some more controversy for the hypocratic sport of college football came out today. Terrelle Pryor and 4 other Ohio State Buckeyes players have been hit with suspensions for 5 games apiece. Why the suspensions? Pryor and his teammates have sold off their jerseys, rings, and even awards. Also included was the receiving of improper benefits from a tattoo parlor.
Wow, what BS is this? First of all, the NCAA can actually suspend players selling their own jerseys and stuff they got from college football? That seems fair especially when you consider that the colleges and the NCAA make money off jersey sales to the fans. 2nd of all, the 5 suspended games start next season, not this year when there is still a Sugar Bowl to play. That's for the best considering we don't to mess with the Sugar Bowl.
ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME!!! I have had it with the so called "amateur sport" of college football. College football gets so many endorsements and sponsors, tv deals, money from alumni, and even gifts from the bowl games themselves to the players but heaven forbid a player sells some of his own stuff while in school.
And the kicker of this is the suspensions. If these are indeed infractions that are worth suspending players for, why are they letting these athletes go play in the Sugar Bowl? What is supposed to happen in an ideal world, especially an ideal "amateur sports world," is that a player is immediately suspended and not allowed to come back and play until the suspension is over. But we can't do that, it will hurt ratings and upset our sponsors. F**K YOU, NCAA!!!
