The X-Mas Games

Christmas Day came and went bringing joy and debt to millions of people. And to help get their minds off that newly created debt, there were the Christmas Day Games. 5 NBA games were featured on Christmas with the highlight being the Heat vs. the Lakers. Miami outscored the Lakers in every quarter and won the game 96-80. No Laker scored more than 20 points while Chris Bosh and LeBron James did. James had 27 and Bosh had 24. The other games had the Magic beating the Celtics 86-78, the Thunder beating the Nuggets 114-106, the Knicks beating the Bulls 103-95, and the Warriors beating the Trail Blazers 109-102.

The NFL had their own Christmas Day game with the Cowboys facing the Cardinals. Arizona grabbed an early lead thanks to a couple of INTs returned for a TD early on. The Cowboys managed to claw back, however, and took the lead, 26-24, with less than 2 minutes to go. It was a pity they missed the extra point on that score as the Cardinals managed to get one more drive together for a game winning field goal by Jay Feely from 48 yards away leaving about 5 seconds left. Cardinals win, 27-26.

Interesting Christmas Day games with the big performance coming from the Heat. Looks like the Heat are ready for tougher opponents or the Lakers were drunk from eggnog. Hope you had a Merry Christmas.

P.S. Let's applaud the NHL who didn't schedule any games for this Christmas Day. True they are less popular than the NBA and the NFL but they had the decency to let the players, staff, and arena workers rest.
