Reggie Bush May Lose Heisman

The Heisman Trophy is arguably the most coveted MVP award in team sports. It has a great history attached to it and all college football athletes dream of winning it. However, the Heisman's proud history is about to turn a corner. Back in July, USC gave back their copy of Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy as a sign they want nothing to do with Reggie Bush. Perhaps getting the idea from USC's move, the Heisman Trust is expected to strip Bush of his 2005 Heisman Trophy. The Trust's Spokesperson said they haven't made a decision yet. Still seems bad for Reggie.

Is this a good move by the Heisman Trust? No. This is simply a retroactive decision based on the transgressions of USC and Reggie Bush in the past. It would've been different if they found this out before hand but to take the trophy back now would be silly. Everyone knows that Reggie Bush won that award and nothing the Trust can do will ever change that fact. I do understand why they are doing it (integrity) but it wouldn't change a thing.

P.S. Reports also say that the 2005 Heisman Trophy Winner will be vacant. We still know who won.
