Should Vick Lead the Eagles?

Last Sunday saw the debut of Kevin Kolb and also his early exit thanks to a concussion. Michael Vick came in and took over the team and lead them back in contention. They still lost the game to the Packers, 27-20, but Vick showed that he still had the goods throwing 16-24 for 175 Yards and 1 TD pass. More importantly for Vick, he showed he can still scramble better than anyone running for 103 Yards on 11 carries. Whether the Eagles like Vick or not, they will start him Sunday due to Kevin Kolb's concussion.

But a larger question looms over the team: Should Michael Vick be the starting QB for the Eagles? They have invested so much in Kolb already and have said he is the guy but Vick has shown he can still play. The Eagles might have beaten the Packers if Vick played the whole the game. Of course, Kolb is the staring QB for the long term and might do better once he is healed. Vick will have a shot a to prove his starting case as he will lead the Eagles against the Lions this Sunday. He needs to win big and have big numbers to not be ignored.

P.S. If it was a playoff contender like the Cowboys and he beat them then he would have the starting role. But because it's the Lions, he has to win big.
