2nd Day of the Sweet 16: Death of Cinderella, Duke Moves On, and Midwest Gets Crazier

Once upon a time in the Sweet 16, the last of the Cinderella teams were eliminated. In a far away place called the South, beloved Saint Mary was killed by a Bear of Baylor in the woods (72-49). Not only was she killed, she was brutalized beyond all recognition. Meanwhile in the wild Midwest, an unproven Spartan managed to slay the Panther of Northern Iowa (59-52). It was the same Panther who had eaten the golden Jayhawk of Kansas. And it was at this time, the last glass slippers was broken.

Back to the real world, #1 Duke of the south beats #4 Purdue 70-57. Duke did a great job of holding back the Boilermakers late in the game and they move on to the Elite 8 to face #3 Baylor. Meanwhile, the Midwest does get crazier as #2 Ohio State has lost #6 Tennessee 76-73. This is the Volunteers first ever trip to the Elite 8 where they will face #5 Michigan State.

P.S. SEE!!! Writing a children's book isn't that hard. A little depressing but not hard.
