Ron Washington Tested Positive for Cocaine

The manager of the Texas Rangers, Ron Washington, tested positive for cocaine last year. Washington apologized yesterday and offered to resign his post. The Rangers refused that though and said that they were convinced that he only did it once. Washington has also said that he will voluntarily submit himself to more drug testing in the future. It is sad to see a manager have a drug problem no matter how big or small it might be. I hope Washington doesn't lose any control over his team. Authority might be overlooked with a guy that has made a significant mistake. Either way, I'm sure he'll be fine.
