King Felix Helps Mariners End 17 Game Slump

The Mariners were just awful the last couple of weeks what with losing 17 games in a row. In the third game vs. the Yankees, they were looking at getting swept and their 18th straight loss. Luckily for the Mariners, Felix Hernandez took the mound for them and held the Yankees in check. Meanwhile, the offense finally put some good some production with 5 runs in the 7th Inning. The Mariners would win, 9-2, and end their worst slump in Franchise history at 17 games. Who else but King Felix to help them get a win. And to do it against the Yankees is slightly surprising. Good for them. Let's hope they don't fall into that kind of funk again.

P.S. I say slightly surprising because a good team will usually lose 60-70 games a year so it has to do with probability more or less. It would be really surprising if they managed to sweep the Yankees.
