Possible Baseball Trades as Deadline Approaches

It's that time of year again, baseball fans, where teams are looking to buy or sell talent for a playoff push or a rebuilding project. K-Rod was already traded to the Brewers and there might be another trade made by the Mets. Jose Reyes has been a possibility for a while now especially with the year he is having. He is a valuable shortstop to anyone looking for defense and great at hitting. Carlos Beltran is also another possible Met on the move. The Phillies are said to be looking at him and the Braves are also considered a contender.

As for other players, Alfonso Soriano's name came up yesterday as the Cubs have now stated they are willing eat most of Soriano's contract if the right deal presented itself which sounds like they want some good prospects. Soriano is willing to waive his no trade clause which means he might be on the move. Also one has to look at the Rays a bit to see if they will deal anyone away considering they are lagging behind the Red Sox and Yankees. BJ Upton might be a possibility along with James Shields.

Whatever does get done, it better be quick. The deadline is less than ten days away.
