Tiger Woods Dismisses Caddie

Tiger Woods' world seems to keep changing. He's taken some time off for injury and to get his head together. Okay, just guessing on the last part of that sentence. But that guess might not be that far off. Tiger Woods had fired his swing coach and now his caddie. Steve Williams, who had been Tiger's caddie for 12 years, has been dismissed by Tiger. Steve said he had no problem being fired, just disappointing in the timing of it. Tiger had won 72 events and 13 majors with Steve holding his golf clubs.

As significant as this story actually is, I can't help but laugh a little at it. When you think of a caddie, does anyone else think of a little boy trying to make a few bucks for some selfish rich dude at the local golf club. Instead, we are talking about a person who is nearly 50 and who is at least 10 years older than Tiger. I'm sure he gets great money for his services and there's more to it than just carrying golf clubs but I still chuckle at it.

Anyway, I guess Tiger will hire a new caddie when he eventually returns unless he wants to carry his own clubs. If you're a golf enthusiast, it will be interesting to see who he picks. If you're not, why are reading this article?
