Nnamdi Asomugha Signs with Eagles?

Friday was the beginning period where free agents could sign with their teams. Before this time, we still haven't heard of an agreement between Nnamdi Asomugha and any team. We have on now. The biggest suitors for Asomugha were the Jets but it wasn't them who sign him. It was the Philadelphia Eagles who inked the star CB. Nnamdi Asomugha agreed to a 5 year $60 Million contract with the Eagles. The Eagles weren't done, either. They also came to terms with Vince Young who was just released by the Titans.

Two big surprises for Philly fans. Of course, Asomugha was the big signing and with him to play with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie who was just acquired from Arizona yesterday as part of that deal to trade away Kevin Kolb. Definitely a new force to reckon with in the Eagles' secondary as both of these corners will give the whole D a boost. The assumption now is that the team will trade Asante Samuel away for something else seeing that they are filled up on CB's.

As for Vince Young, noteworthy news as the Eagles remain solid at QB should anything happen to Michael Vick while he runs the ball. But the big story is Asomugha and how this could shift the power considerably in the NFC East.
