Group B played their last games today at the same time with Argentina vs. Greece and South Korea vs. Nigeria. Apparently there's a rule saying the last games of the group stage have to be played at the same time for fairness. South Korea and Greece were, however, competing with each other throughout their games with the thought was it would come down to whoever scored more goals overall. It would not come to that, however, as Argentina defeated Greece 2-0 while South Korea fought Nigeria to a draw of 2-2 to take a point and break the points tie with Greece. Argentina takes the top spot in the group with 9 points having won all their games. South Korea takes number 2 and advances to the next round. The Round of 16 will feature Argentina vs. Mexico and South Korea vs. Uruguay.
It is at this time we must say goodbye to Nigeria and Greece. Another African team is eliminated from the World Cup while the Greeks will find no comfort from their economic crises at this tournament. Thanks for playing and don't forget your parting gifts: Humility, Shame, and a loss of hearing (Vuvazelas).
