Group G: Why Did You Play?

Group G finished their games today with Brazil vs. Portugal and the Ivory Coast vs. North Korea. Now the standings had Brazil leading with 6 points, Portugal with 4 points, the Ivory Coast with 1 point, and North Korea with a death sentence. Brazil and Portugal were already shoe-ins for the next round as Brazil already had a spot and the Ivory coast had to hope that Brazil beat Portugal by a lot and they had to win by a lot. The Ivory coast did beat North Korea pretty handily with a 3-0 win. Brazil and Portugal, meanwhile, fought to a draw. This might as well been practice for both sides though Portugal would've gotten the top spot with a win. They were happy enough with a draw, however, as both Brazil and Portugal advance to the Round of 16.
