The Second Fall of Troy
USC has been punished pretty hard by the NCAA for giving illegal gifts to Reggie Bush. They have banned them from postseason bowl play for two years, they will lose 30 scholarships, get 4 years of probation, and have 14 wins vacated from 2004 to 2005. There was also mentioning of other student athletes they recruited like OJ Mayo. USC seems to have been pulling a fast one for years and now the NCAA does something about it? Also there won't likely be any penalties given to Bush, Pete Carroll, or OJ Mayo considering none of them are at USC anymore. Lane Kiffin gets this steaming pile of crap (though Kiffin was there for part of Carroll's tenure). There is some speculation that they could also lose their National Title of 2004. How good does Pete Carroll seem now, Seattle?
