A bunch of game 2's in the Western Conference were played out yesterday which include the Spurs and the Lakers. The Spurs faced the Grizzlies again but this time with returning Manu Ginobili. This was key in lifting the Spurs to victory, 93-87. Ginobili scored 17 points in the win while teammates Tim Duncan, Richard Jefferson, and George Hill scored 16 points each. Meanwhile, the Lakers faced the Hornets again looking to avoid a second loss. They would achieve that goal beating the Hornets, 87-78. Kobe Bryant was not the top performer while that honor seems to be split a bit between Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum. Bynum had 17 points and 11 rebounds while Odom had 16 points and 7 rebounds. Each of these series' is now tied at 1-1.
As for the third game, the Thunder looked to avoid another close game with the Nuggets. They got off to a great start having a 31-15 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. The Nuggets seemed to have never caught up. Thunder win game 2, 106-89. Kevin Durant was the lead scorer having 23 points as well as 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His teammate, Russell Westbrook, had 21 points with 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Thunder now have a 2-0 series lead going into Denver.
An alright day of playoff action with the home team winning all the games. It looks like all three winners are doing fine.
