As the NFL Draft is less than 24 hours away, many things are still uncertain in the NFL. Many of the draftees, like everyone else, are unsure when the NFL season will start or if it will. It's still entirely plausible that their will be no 2011 NFL season. EA Sports seems to not share that opinion. Entirely aware of the circumstances, EA Sports has stated there will still be a Madden 12 for this year, no matter what happens with the labor negotiations. As with every new version of Madden, there is now a sense of excitement in simply finding out who the cover athlete is. Last year it was Drew Brees. This year is... Peyton Hillis?
Sure Hillis is good but what are his numbers? Apparently he had 1,177 rushing yards and 11 TDs on the ground for the 2010 season. Not bad actually but he is no Michael Vick. Let's face it. The only reason Hillis got picked was because the developers weren't sure how a convicted felon would sell their video game. But even if it wasn't Michael Vick, it could've been someone else. Maybe Tom Brady for once. How about Aaron Rodgers, the Super Bowl MVP? Peyton Hillis just doesn't make any sense.
I'm not saying that Hillis isn't a good player. I'm just saying there are better more popular players.
P.S. Okay, this was fan voted? Now it really doesn't make any sense.
