49ers Finally Win

After 5 weeks of misery, close games, and blowouts, the 49ers finally won a game. They took part in another edition of the Battle of the Bay facing the Oakland Raiders. It looked like that the Raiders might actually get another win maintaining a 6-3 lead. Alex Smith, though, would get the 49ers on top throwing a TD Pass to Michael Crabtree for 32 Yards at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Smith would later throw another TD Pass to Vernon Davis. The 49ers held the lead and won, 17-9. They are now 1-5.

How did we win? Well the rushing attack actually worked in this game as Frank Gore ran for 149 Yards. Also the 49ers defense was good again allowing no TDs and getting 2 INTs off Jason Campbell. Probably the most important thing though was committing no turnovers. No INTs or fumbles held back the 49ers and cost them the game. The offense did just well enough to win: nothing more, nothing less. As for the road ahead, we could win most of them but it is highly unlikely that the 49ers will make the playoffs. Sorry Jed York.
