Bobby Valentine is the New Red Sox Manager

Well, it looks like Bobby V is back. Bobby Valentine has been out of the Major Leagues for a while now. His last appearance was back in 2002 as the Mets manager. Since then, Valentine has been a broadcaster and still a manager but not here in the states but overseas. No, not Europe but Japan. He was the Manager of the Chiba Lotte Marines from 2004-2009. He was actually quite popular in Japan. Now it seems that Bobby is back in favor over here. The Red Sox took their time in hiring a new manager and they finally picked Bobby Valentine for the job. Tough shoes for Bobby to fill as he replaces Terry Francona who was in charge during two World Series Titles.

Bobby Valentine seemed like the best choice. You need a well known name that is a bit nuts and that is Bobby. A big challenge for him right off the bat will be getting control of the Red Sox players and getting them refocused for next season. A task that isn't going to be easy but I'm sure that some Fried Chicken and Beer could inspire them. Being serious again Bobby will be better for discipline but the challenge will be of course channeling that discipline into results and wins. Good Luck, Bobby. You are now a guide of the Red Sox Nation.
