Ryan Braun Wins NL MVP

Justin Verlander was named the AL MVP yesterday and now Ryan Braun was named the NL MVP today. Braun led the Brew Crew into the playoffs and as far as the NLCS. Braun batted .332 on the year, hit 33 home runs, and drove in 111 RBI's. Matt Kemp had hit more home runs and RBI's on the season with a respectable .324 batting average but the Dodgers failed to make the postseason. That is a big prerequisite for any MVP candidate. Kemp might have been the better player but Braun's team made the playoffs. That's why Kemp placed in 2nd in the voting.

Anyway, Congrats on Braun's first MVP award. A good year for Braun and the Brewers but expect it to get worse next year without Prince Fielder in the line up.
