Grizzlies Silence the Thunder and Heat Take Game 1 vs. Celtics

The Conference Semi-Finals started today with the first game being game one between the Grizzlies and the Thunder. The Thunder were thought to be the next big team to emerge out of the Western Conference and they seemed poised to do so just beating the Nuggets 4-1 in the first round. Today might've been a reality check for the Thunder. The Grizzlies would take down the Thunder in Oklahoma City, 114-101, and now have a 1-0 series lead. Zach Randolph once again was the star for the Grizzlies with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Kevin Durant did put up 33 points but his team still came up short.

The Second game featured the Celtics and the Heat playing game one of their series in Miami. The Heat lost 3 of 4 games to the Celtics during the regular season and wanted to even the score. The Heat would get their wish as they beat the Celtics, 99-90. Dwayne Wade dominated this game with 38 points and 5 assists while getting help from James Jones, a bench player, who put up 25 points and went 5 for 7 from beyond the arc. The Heat have won their last two meetings with the Celtics which possibly indicates a shift in power in the Eastern Conference.

A nice start to the 2nd round of the NBA Postseason. We'll have to see if the Grizzlies can sustain this kind of performance against the Thunder and if the Celtics can rebound against the Heat.

P.S. Burn in hell, Osama, Burn in hell.
