Dirk Nowitzki was the man of the land in game 1 and proved to be a unstoppable player. For game 2, a good game by Dirk still but to no avail. Kevin Durant managed to score 24 points in this neck and neck game and got some help from James Hardin off the bench who had 23 points and 7 rebounds. While the Mavericks did shoot well with 43.8% from the field, the Thunder shot phenomenally with a 55.7 field goal percentage. Now that's some nice shooting. Thunder would win the game but by a relatively close margin, 106-100.
It seemed that shooting percentage numbers were reversed this time around with the Thunder this time shooting over 50%. It would be hard to believe that the Thunder will be able to shoot that well again so we will have to wait and see if they can follow up this performance with a win at home. The series is now tied at 1-1 and heads to Oklahoma City.
P.S. Yesterday was the last show of the Sports Khan Radio Show for the Spring of 2011. It will be back in the Fall likely on a different day and time slot.
