Simply put it, they choked. A game that the Thunder needed to win and they choked. They had a 15 point lead with 5 minutes left in regulation and they choked. Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd were clutch in the end as Dirk's effort got them to OT and Kidd's clutch three pointer gave them the lead that they did not lose. The Mavericks stage a desperate comeback and ironically shock the Thunder in OT, 112-105. The Thunder had control of this game throughout and they somehow lost it all by the end. Perhaps it was the experience of the Mavericks or Dirk's desire to win a title before his career ends. It could've also been those two mixed in with the inexperience of the Thunder.
Whatever happened, I'm sure that the Thunder will try and learn from it. Now, however, they are down 3-1 in the series and are facing elimination.
